Sherbot Holmes Necklace

I never used to wear jewelry. I always thought, "why is there a need for me to place this gigantic yellow plastic bracelet on my wrist?" I've come to realize, through these projects of mine, that jewelry is another opportunity to express myself artistically, and THAT makes a lot of sense!

I designed "Sherbot Holmes" with the intention of creating a piece of wearable art that was adventurous and exciting,  with a pinch of "slightly dangerous". I wanted to feel motivated while wearing it, so my jewelry could give me that extra "push" and sense of "go for it!" throughout my day. I think I succeeded!

Sherlock Holmes stories are always full of mystery and so witty, and so I thought I would make a tribute to such an important character by making Sherbot Holmes!

Honestly,
Meg

  2. Sherlock Holmes, Sherbot Holmes, and Meg Frampton are all so awesome! I really like the mustache, eyes, and gears on Sherbot. I'll be making a purchase sometime this month. Should orders be placed before the Rock for Justice tour?

  3. Sherbot. hahaha best name yet, and oh so fancy.
I'm curious, will you be making jewelry on the road while touring, like during your spare time on the tour bus? Maybe not sending it out, but still making it? I'm just wondering if it's something that you're able to do or if the supplies needed and whatnot are too complicated to bring along.
Sorry for the questioning, I just find your process of jewelry-making so interesting!

  4. Did you make the train too? The whole scene is so steampunk and adorable :]

  5. Kenny: You probably should order before the tour. I do have a helper that will try to get orders out, but of course I am more dependable! ha ha.

Kalli: I've been thinking about how I would make jewelry on the road. I think it won't work out. Even if I did have the time and could set up in hotel rooms, I just wouldn't have the energy after long drives and sweaty shows. We'll see if I can pull it off...

Jwa: I did not make the train. Maybe I'll try trains when I'm a little more advanced:)

  8. OMGSHH!! Sherbot Holmes might just be my favorite :D I wish I had the money for it :(

It's really amazing seeing these creations you come up with. I think sometimes we see musicians as simply that -- musicians. We sometimes forget they're still normal people and have many others interests.

The jewelry making thing is so awesome :)

  11. Does Dia and the gang ever have any input in the making of the jewelry, or is this something that you want to show your own creativity. Also your jewelry just gets better and better. Hope your having fun.
